People who have lost licences or had registered vehicles destroyed as a result of the recent bushfires in South Australia are eligible for special assistance from Service SA.

The fee for replacing a licence will be waived, with those needing the service encouraged to call Service SA on 131 084 or visit a Customer Service Centre for support.

You will need to provide:

  • Your licence number (if known)
  • Your name
  • Your date of birth
  • Confirmation of your residential and postal address.

People who lost a registered vehicle as a result of the fires can apply for a refund of unexpired registration fees.

To apply, complete the simplified form and email, post or present it to Service SA. Assistance with access to internet and telephone can be found at Recovery Centres.

Refunds will be backdated to the date of the loss of the vehicle during the bushfires and Service SA will waive any administration fees associated with the process.
