Two-factor authentication is available for your mySAGOV account

mySAGOV account holders can protect their account by setting up two-factor authentication. This service adds an additional layer of security by generating a one-time code to use when you sign in.
Follow these steps to set up two-factor authentication:
1. Install an authenticator app on your device such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. An authenticator app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Log in to your mySAGOV account. A link to set up two-factor authentication is available on the dashboard (look for the title “Protect your account”).
3. Open the authenticator app on your mobile device and enter the key that appears in your mySAGOV account. Alternatively, if you are using a desktop PC, you can scan the QR code with your mobile phone (see image below). A six-digit code will be generated by the app.
4. Enter the code into the “one-time code” field in your mySAGOV account and click save.
5. Your two-factor authentication will be confirmed.
6. You are now logged in with two-factor authentication. To return to your dashboard, select ‘Back to EzyReg Account’.
Each time you log in, you will need your password and a verification code generated from your authenticator app.
