Book early for your test or course

Due to COVID-19 social distancing requirements, the number of customers that can sit a Learner Theory, Boat Licence or Hazard Perception test, or take part in a Rider Safe basic or advanced training course, is restricted based on the available space.

Booking time availability for tests has been increased to the maximum number of times possible, however we are experiencing lead times of at least six weeks in most metropolitan centres.

The Rider Safe phone line is also receiving a high volume of calls which are being answered as soon as possible.

We encourage all bookings to be made early and in advance to reduce disappointment.

Did you know a Hazard Perception Test can be booked and undertaken at any time while on a Learner’s permit? Driving hours or a practical driving test do not need to be completed first.

To make a test booking or enrol in a Rider Safe course, please call 13 10 84 so we can fit you in as soon as possible.

Please note, all testing centres and Rider Safe training venues are being cleaned daily when used, including all bikes before and after use. Rider Safe students must provide their own helmet. Find more information about the Rider Safe courses and venue options here.
